HANCOCK, Mich. – It took just 6:22 into a Sunday showdown with Finlandia for Concordia University Wisconsin sophomore Lexi Holman to break the program record for most consecutive games with a point. Holman recorded an assist at that point, and added an empty-net goal later, extending her streak to 13 games and lifting the Falcons to a 4-2 win over the Lions in the NCHA tilt.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons struck first 6:22 into play as Holman (Sauk Rapids, Minn.) assisted on a power play goal scored by junior Veronika Metanova (Palatine, Ill.). Senior Lexi Machuga (Rochester Hills, Mich.) added an assist on the play as well, which put the Falcons up 1-0.
- Finlandia would tie the game at 1-1 just under three minutes later as Brock Nelson scored for the Lions 9:17 into the opening period.
- Senior Katherine Pauletti (Roseville, Minn.) scored the lone goal of the second period, giving the Falcons a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes of play. Freshman Kristen Kennedy (London, Ontario) assisted on the Pauletti goal, which came 10:10 into the stanza.
- The Falcons built a 3-1 lead just 2:19 when freshman Jossa Danis (Brandon, Manitoba) struck for her first career collegiate goal. Senior Jayda Hoerres (Melrose, Wis.) assisted on the Danis score.
- Finlandia would cut the Falcons lead to 3-2, but Holman provided the insurance with an empty-net goal in the final seconds. Her 11th goal of the season, which came with 13 seconds remaining, was assisted by freshman Ellie Woodman (Janesville, Wis.).
- Sophomore Allison Kurek (Chicago, Ill.) picked up the win between the pipes for the Falcons. Kurek stopped 16 shots as the Falcons finished the game with a 29-18 advantage in shots on goal.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Holman recorded a point in every Falcons game in the months of December and January to reach the 13-game point streak. She broke the previous record of 12, which was set by Jamie Athens in the 2009-10 season.
- Holman recorded 17 total points over the streak, scoring eight goals and tallying nine assists.
- Pauletti had a solid weekend for the Falcons and in the process reached a career-high 10 points on the season. She now has 33 points in her career.
- Metanova and Machuga are both at 59 career points, which is tied for sixth all-time in Falcons history.
