GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Field Hockey team visited DePauw University Friday night, falling by a 5-1 score. After a 2-1 first half, the host Tigers scored three times in the second to pull away from the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two teams had to wait out a weather delay, starting the contest about an hour later than expected. DePauw came out strong after the delay, scoring 3:24 into play for the 1-0 lead. The Tigers would add another goal in the 29th minute, making the score 2-0.
- The Falcons cut the deficit to one in the final minute of the opening half with a score from freshman Sophia Kottmer (Virginia Beach, Va.). The penalty stroke goal was the third of the season for Kottmer.
- The second half was all Tigers, who outscored the Falcons 3-0 for the 5-1 victory. Addie Ball has two goals for DePauw after the break, her fourth and fifth of the season.
- The Falcons managed just four shots in the contest, scoring on their only shot in the first half and adding three shots after halftime. DePauw finished with 17 shots.
- Freshman Kennedy Boyer (Saline, Mich.) stopped four shots for the Falcons. Her counterpart, Sarah Foye, picked up her third win of the season.
