DE PERE, Wis.  – The Falcons did not allow a goal on the weekend and capped off the sweep of St. Norbert with a 5-0 victory on Saturday. The victory propels CUW to 5-6-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the NCHA. The victory extends the winning streak to three games and the unbeaten streak to four games. This is the first time that CUW has shutout a series since December 2017 against Northland and the first series sweep since February 2019 at Finlandia.

After a quiet first period, the CUW offense erupted for four goals in three minutes.

Senior Emily Godwin (London, Ont.) struck on the power play at the 4:42 mark of the second period. Senior Natasha Wanless (Madison, Wis.) and junior Ally Hull (Wasilla, Alaska) had the CUW assists.

At 6:48, Ally Hull found the back of the net off a pass from sophomore Emily Reimche (Billings, Mont.).

13 seconds later, junior Madi Chapman (Rogers, Minn.) added to the lead from a pass from Natasha Wanless.

Natasha Wanless joined the scoring spree 24 seconds later, with senior Emily Godwin (London, Ont.) and senior Sam Lombardi (Ancaster, Ont.) adding the assists.

In the third period, Ally Hull scored on the power play off passes from senior Issy Bilton (Burlington, Ont.) and Madi Chapman.

Senior Breanna Thomson (St. Marys, Ont.) completed the perfect weekend with 27 saves in the victory. Her two shut outs gives her the program record for career shut outs.

Thomson hasn't allowed a goal in the last 154 minutes, the longest streak in program history.

The Green Knights held a 27-26 shots advantage on Saturday.

The Falcons return to action on Friday at Aurora.
