MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The CUW women's golf team improved 28 strokes from its first round of the year. The Falcons fell short on Friday to Wisconsin Lutheran, 417-393.
Senior Amy Carpenter (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) claimed her second medalist honor of the season with a round of 89 strokes. The round of 89 ties her career-low score that she established in September.
Freshman Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) finished in fourth place at 99 strokes. Curley improved 19 strokes from her first round.
In seventh place was freshman Anna Rousseau (Hartford, Wis.) at 106 strokes. Rousseau dropped 18 strokes from her first round in September
Freshman Kayla Samann (Campbellsport, Wis.) competed as an individual and secured a 10th-place finish at 115 strokes. Her round of 115 is 13 strokes better than her first round.
At 123 strokes was freshman Kila Eckmann (Waukesha, Wis.) in 12th place.
Sophomore Hanah Conger (Davenport, Iowa) rounded out the flock in 13th place at 140 strokes.
The Falcons close the fall on Sunday at the River Club against Lakeland.
