MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's golf team came up short on Sunday afternoon at the River Club of Mequon. The Muskies of Lakeland went on to win 400-411 to improve to 1-1 on the year. The 411 strokes was the lowest round of the year for the Falcons, six strokes lower than the round on Friday.
Senior Amy Carpenter (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) recorded the lowest round of the day for CUW in third place at 94 strokes.
In fourth place on Sunday was freshman Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) with 97 strokes.
Freshman Kayla Samann (Campbellsport, Wis) secured an eighth-place finish at 109 strokes.
Finishing with 111 strokes was freshman Kila Eckmann (Waukesha, Wis.) in ninth place.
Sophomore Hanah Conger (Davenport, Iowa) rounded out the CUW lineup in 11th place at 144 strokes.
The Falcons plan to close out the fall on Saturday against Edgewood.
