MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's hockey team battled until the final second against the No. 13 ranked Pointers of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Friday night. The Pointers escaped with a 2-1 victory to improve to 6-3-0 on the season.

UWSP struck first on the power play with goals in the first and second periods.

The Falcons closed the scoring in the final minute of the second period with a power-play goal from senior Cory Dennis (Madison, Wis.) from an assist from Michael Makarenko (Calgary, Alta.).

Senior Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) posted another strong outing in the net with 48 save.

The Pointers peppered the CUW with 50 shots on Friday. CUW finished the evening with 26 shots. Led by Cory Dennis with seven.

The Falcons look to level the series on Saturday at Stevens Point.
