ACHA Stomps past Purdue Northwest

MEQUON, Wis.- Concordia battled their way through Purdue Northwest on Friday night at the Ozaukee Ice Center.

The Falcons scored in the 10th minute of the first period to put the first point on the board for the night. That goal would be scored by senior Cody Faber (Wilmot, Wis.) with the help of freshman EJ Halleck (Cape Coral, Fla.) and freshman John Swiatek (Rochester, N.Y.)

 The second goal would come in the 16th minute for the Falcons, scored by sophomore Scott Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) with the help of Faber and sophomore Connor Doyle (Naples, Fla.).

Purdue would remain scoreless in the first period, giving the Falcons a 2-0 lead.

The Blue and White would come back hot in the second period with a goal in the ninth minute from Swiatek, assisted by Faber.

The final goal that would be scored for the night would come in the 16th minute, scored by Doyle, assisted by sophomore Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) and freshman Dylan Techahold (Solothurn, Switzerland).

Concordia would take the victory with a 4-0 win over PNW.

Senior Dakota Delbridge (Tracy, Calif.)  would defend the net for the Falcons all 60 minutes, having 26 saves for the night. Delbridge would get the shutout for the Falcons.

The Blue and White's offense tallied 51 shots on goal for the night.

Concordia looks to defend the nest again and sweep Purdue Northwest on Saturday, Mar. 27 at 2 PM.
