MEQUON, Wis. – The fourth-ranked Cyclones of Iowa State leveled the weekend series with a 6-1 victory on Friday afternoon against the Falcons
The fourth-ranked Cyclones wasted no time finding the back of the net on Friday scoring a goal 3:59 into the game.
The CUW defense was able to kill off two penalties in the first period.
The Cyclones struck again late in the first period.
Iowas State added two more goals in the second period.
Sophomore Scott Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) put the Falcon on the scoreboard halfway through the second period off an assist from freshman John Swiatek (Rochester, N.Y.).
The Cardinal and Gold added two more goals in the third period.
The Falcons look to bounce back on Sunday against Aurora.
