VERONA, Wis. – The Falcons opened NACC play with a 17-4 victory at Edgewood. The Blue and White improve to 3-4 on the year and 1-0 in the NACC.
The Falcons opened the game with a 7-0 advantage in the first quarter.
Senior Keijo Day (Esko, Minn.) scored three of the seven goals in the first quarter.
CUW added goals in the second quarter from senior Ryan LeFebvre (Chicago, Ill.) and senior Donovan Harper (Yorba Linda, Calif.).
The Blue and White added six more goals in the third quarter. The quarter closed with two-straight goals from Donovan Harper.
The Falcons closed the game with a goal from Ryan LeFebvre with 2:13 remaining.
Senior Alex Loding (Mundelein, Ill.) earned the victory in the net.
Sophomore Adam Nichols (Meridian, Idaho) led CUW with four saves.
CUW outshot the Eagles on Wednesday 54-19. Senior Taitum Priewe (Janesville, Wis.) led the flock with 10 shots.
The Falcons collected 49 ground balls, with sophomore Jack Gromosky (Danville, Ind.) leading with six.
The Blue and White return home on Saturday against Aurora.
