JANESVILLE, Wis. – The CUW women's golf team teed off at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Spring Invitational on Friday afternoon. The Falcons opened the tournament with 405 strokes in the opening round.
Senior Amy Carpenter (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) walked into the clubhouse at 92 strokes in 47th strokes.
In 59th place was freshman Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) at 99 strokes.
Junior Payton Dorn (Freedom, Wis.) finished day one at 103 strokes in 64th place.
Freshman Kayla Samann (Campbellsport, Wis.) recorded 111 strokes to sit in 67th place after Friday.
Sophomore Hanah Conger (Davenport, Iowa) is tied for 70th place at 122 strokes.
CUW looks to finish the tournament with a strong performance on Saturday.
