Men's Track & Field flexes at Wisconsin Lutheran

WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The CUW men's track & field team competed at the Wisconsin Lutheran Warrior Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons finished in fourth place on the day with 75 points.

Tim Brey Cedarburg, Wis.) was the individual champion in the 5000-meter run with a personal-best time of 15:52.52.

Sophomore Seth Day (Sunset Hills, Mo.) was the champion at javelin on Saturday at 47.28 meters. Day had three personal bests on Saturday in the shot put at 11.30, 35.79 at discus and 47.28 in the javelin.

Junior Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) earned the silver medal in the shot put at 14.69 meters, the bronze medal in the discus throw at 42.47 meters and a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw at 43.62 meters. His hammer throw was a personal-best.

Easton Becker broke his record in the 800-meter run at 2:08.00.

Sophomore Michael Brookshire (Valley Springs, Calif.) secured a personal-best mark of 29.15 in the discus.

Freshman Ryan Klug (Arlington, Va.) closed his best time in the 1500-meter run at 4:49.08.

Christian Prohl picked up a pair of personal-best times in the 200-meter dash at 23.42 and in the 400-meter dash at 52.67.

Sophomore Isaac Zahrt (Kronenwetter, Wis.) had his best discus mark of his career at 30.81 meters.

CUW will compete at the Green Knight Invitational on Saturday.
