MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW field hockey team fell short on Saturday morning in a 2-1 loss to Wooster. The Falcons slip to 2-4 on the season.
The Fighting Scots scored less than two minutes into the game.
Sophomore Renee Lund (Vista, Calif.) tied the game in the final minute of the first quarter off a pass from junior Alex Klamm (Glen Carbon, Ill.).
Wooster scored the winning goal in the second quarter.
The Fighting Scots held a 19-7 advantage on shots on Saturday.
Junior Emily Binley (Suffolk, Va.) brought in eight saves against Wooster. Sophomore Abby McGue (St. Louis, Mo.) also had a defensive save.
Senior Megan McPike (Mequon, Wis.) led CUW with three shots.
The Falcons look to even the weekend series on Sunday morning.
