MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The CUW men's basketball team traveled to Wisconsin Lutheran College to take on the Warriors in their first conference matchup away from the nest.
The Warriors hopped out to a quick start with a 23-11 lead with 12 minutes to go in the first half.
The Falcons stormed back and took a 30-29 lead with 4:10 left which was capped off by a jump shot from senior Matt LeVene (Manitowoc, Wis.). LeVene recorded the next seven Falcon points with a pair of layups as well as a three-point basket.
The Warriors claimed a two-point lead heading into the break at 39-37.
The Green and White took control of the second half with a 10-2 run in the middle of the half.
The matchup finished with an 88-73 final score in favor of WLC.
Senior Freeman Jackson (Green Bay, Wis.) led the Blue and White with 19 points. He added five rebounds, three assists, and two steals to his line.
Senior Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) assisted on 11 baskets. He added four points and five rebounds to his total as well.
The Falcons head home to take on Rockford on Saturday in their third home contest of the season.
