KENOSHA, Wis. – The Falcons fell short in a non-conference matchup under the lights at Carthage on Wednesday night. The Firebirds defended home turf with a 15-10 victory to improve to 6-2 and send CUW to 3-4.

Four minutes later, senior Kyle Fuller (Roseville, Minn.) tied the game at one off an assist from freshman Max Esposito (Gaithersburg, Md.).
A goal from senior Keijo Day (Esko, Minn.) once again tied the game two minutes later.
Carthage scored the next four goals to take a 6-2 lead into the second quarter.

A goal from Max Esposito closed the scoring in the third quarter to make it a 14-5 game.
The Falcons surged back in the fourth quarter.

Freshman Pat Ryan (Western Springs, Ill.) scored the final goal of the game off an assist from sophomore Caleb Ruger (Grafton, Wis.).
The Falcons outscored Carthage in the fourth quarter, 5-1.
Junior Adam Nichols (Meridian, Idaho) notched 10 saves on Wednesday night. Junior Evan Leden (Waukegan, Ill.) had nine saves on 14 shots faced.
Noah Brandt led the flock with five ground balls and 11 faceoff victories.
