MONTGOMERY, Ill. - The 2022 season came to an end on Tuesday afternoon in the NACC Tournament Semifinals for the CUW women's lacrosse team.  The top-seeded Spartans advanced with a 25-3 victory.

Freshman Natalie Mackrell (Stuttgart, Germany) started the CUW scoring and put the Falcons on the scoreboard with 6:05 left in the first quarter.

Sophomore Eliana Fuchs (Brookfield, Wis.) scored the lone second-quarter goal for the Blue and White.

Freshman Sydney Dyba (Crown Point, Ind.) posted six saves in the start.

Natalie Mackrell struck again in the fourth quarter for her second goal of the afternoon.

Freshman Madisen Meyers (Rosemount, Minn.) had a save in the second half.

Sydney Dyba and Eliana Fuchs both picked up three ground balls in the contest.

Sophomore Olivia Niego (La Grange, Ill.) and junior Colleen Gilligan (Colborne, Ont.) both caused a turnover against the Black and Blue.

The Spartans outshot the Falcons on Tuesday, 40-15.  Mackrell led the flock with five shots and Fuchs finished with four.

The Blue and White have now competed in eight of the last nine conference tournaments.

The Falcons will return to action in the 2023 season.
