Men's Soccer Splits with WLC

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's soccer program took on the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors in a NACC matchup on Wednesday afternoon.

The Blue and White started the matchup by giving up a goal just 64 seconds into the match.

The Falcons are not unfamiliar with playing from behind with five of their seven games starting with an opposition goal.

The Warriors eyed a 1-0 lead heading into the second half when out of nowhere senior Ivan Cuellar (Milwaukee, Wis.) crossed a ball into the box for senior Nick Hummel (Green Bay, Wis.) who rocketed it past the netminder.

Both teams traded looks in the second half, but none found the goal.

The Blue and White fell victim to a couple of physical plays that may have resulted in solid attempts to net the game-winner, but could not play through.

The matchup ended in a draw which left the Falcons still unbeaten with a record of 4-0-3 and a 1-0-2 record in conference play.

Cuellar left with two shots on goal and freshman Jeremy Munoz (Milwaukee, Wis.) led the matchup with eight saves.

The Blue and White hit the road and will take on Illinois Tech on Saturday.
