MEADVILLE, Pa. – The CUW field hockey team traveled to Allegheny for a non-conference matchup on Sunday morning. The Gators improved to 8-1 with the 4-1 victory that sends Concordia to 2-5 on the year.
The Gator scored the first four goals on Sunday morning.
The lone CUW goal came in the 59th minute when senior AnnaLyssia Abela (Dearborn, Mich.) scored on a penalty stroke.
Senior Emily Binley (Suffolk, Va.) was kept busy with 13 saves on Sunday.
The Gators held a 25-16 advantage in shots in the victory.
AnnaLyssia Abela led the flock with five shots. She also recorded a defensive save.
The Falcons return to Southern Athletic Association play on Saturday at Sewanee.
