RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Falcons traveled to River Forest and took on the Stars of Dominican University Tuesday night in a competitive Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference matchup.
After a tight first half, Dominican led 40-37. Junior Freeman Jackson (Green Bay, Wis.) and senior Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) both had 11 points, while senior Matt LeVene (Manitowoc, Wis.) added seven points.
With 10:27 remaining in the second half, the Falcons found themselves down 11 points. However, with 4:59 remaining, CUW cut the deficit to two points. Immediately following CUW's run, Dominican answered with a 5-0 run, bringing their lead to seven with 1:51 remaining.
Ultimately, the Falcons could not complete the comeback and fell by a final score of 67-75, where the Falcons shot 40 percent from the field and were 8-28 from three-point range.
Freeman Jackson led all scorers with 19 total points and contributed four steals, while Jared Jurss finished with a 15-point and 11-rebound double-double, along with six assists.
The Falcons travel to Illinois on Saturday for another NACC matchup at 2:00 pm at Aurora.
