STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Falcons finished non-conference play on Tuesday night at Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The Pointers protected home ice with a 2-1 victory. The loss sends CUW to 12-10-1 on the season.
The Pointers struck first with a pair of goals in the first period.
Freshman Jillian Tabaka (Maplewood, Minn.) skated down the right side of the ice and snuck the puck past the Pointers' keeper late in the third period off a pass from senior Bela Noyle (Baltimore, Md.) for the lone CUW goal.
The Pointers held a 36-31 advantage in shots on Tuesday night.
Senior Annalina Van Hercke (Castle Rock, Colo.) collected 34 saves on the night.
Senior Emily Reimche (Billings, Mont.) led CUW with six shots.
Jillian Tabaka led the flock with 17 faceoff victories.
The Falcons close the regular season at home against Finlandia on Friday and Saturday.
