WHEATON, Ill. – The Falcons played two matches on the weekend. The Falcons won a late-night affair with a 7-2 affair over Carroll on Friday night. The birds then fell to Wheaton on Saturday, 8-1. The Falcons are now 10-3 on the year.
The duo of senior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and junior Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) won at No. 1 doubles, 8-3.
Senior Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) and junior Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) picked up an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Ricki Budewitz canned Grace Krueger at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-2.
Ashley Samuta sank Ashley LaBelle at No. 2 singles, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0.
Mallory Moen moved past Maya Gaedtke at No. 3 singles, 7-6, 6-0.
Sophomore Cheyanne Phillips (Morris, Ill.) folded Aalaiya Jacklin at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
Peyton Morgan grounded Makayla Counsell at No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-4.
Ricki Budewitz won the lone point on Saturday at No. 1 singles, with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Madeline Gentry.
