WAUKESHA, Wis. – On Sunday, the CUW men's Track and Field team participated in the Wisconsin Private College Championships held at Carroll University.
The Falcons finished with 20 points, earning them the ninth-place spot, while MSOE finished first with 181.5 points.
Concordia Wisconsin succeeded from the throws pit, earning 14 of their 20 points in throwing events.
In the hammer throw, sophomore Mitchell Moeller (Cedarburg, Wis.) earned the Falcons four points after placing fifth in the event, throwing a distance of 46.95 meters. Moeller also placed fifth, earning an additional four points, in the discus throw, where he was able to throw a distance of 42.09 meters.
Rounding out the throwing points was senior Seth Day (Sunset Hills, Mo.) led, who placed fourth in the javelin, throwing 47.88 meter.
On the track, junior Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) placed seventh in the 1500-meter run in a time of 4:09.87 seconds, earning the Falcons two points, while sophomore Bernie Van Den Heuvel (Valders, Wis.) earned Concordia Wisconsin four points in the 110-meter hurdle dash, placing fifth with a time of 16.72 seconds.
The Falcons will continue competing at the St. Norbert College Twilight meet on Thursday, April 6th, hosted at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis.
