KANSASVILLE, Wis. - The Concordia Wisconsin women's golf team wrapped up their first day of play at the Midwest Region Fall Classic on Friday afternoon. After day one, the Falcons currently sit tied for 22nd place with 352 team strokes. In first place is Adrian College, with 317 strokes through the first day.
Junior Elizabeth Montaba (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) led the Falcons through one round of play with 86 strokes and currently sits in 81st place.
One stroke behind Montaba was Senior Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.), who finished her day in 92nd place with 87 strokes.
Finishing third for CUW was freshman Ava Litkey (Kenosha, Wis.), who recorded a score of 88 strokes.
Following behind her was sophomore Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) in 124th place at 91 strokes.
Rounding out the Falcons and currently sitting in 141st place was freshman Mady Doering (Appleton, Wis.), who finished with a score of 93 strokes.
The Falcons will resume competition on Saturday and look to climb up the Midwest Regional Fall Classic leaderboard in their second round of play.
