ACHA Hockey Mops Up MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – It was all Falcons in a late-night affair in Milwaukee. The Falcons improved to 5-2-0 on the year and stay on top of the Northern Collegiate Hockey League standings at 2-0-0 with an 8-1 victory at MSOE on Tuesday night.

The Falcons had seven different goal scorers on Tuesday night with senior Nick Roberts (Ding Dong, Texas), senior Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.), senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.), freshman Mason Musel (Duluth, Minn.), senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.), senior Brandon Ballweg (Woodbridge, Va.) and senior Rex Staudacher (Yorkville, Ill.) all lighting the lamp.

Tommy Cassel led all scorers with two goals and two assists in the victory.

Cassel was joined by freshman Rocco Cicirello (Mequon, Wis.), Andrew Malek and Rex Staudacher with two assists in the victory.

Garrett Wilderman scored a goal and an assist against the Raiders on Tuesday night.

Sophomore Fred Roufs (Sioux Falls, S.D.) collected 11 saves in the victory.

The eight goals are the most goals scored since the nine scored in the NCHL Hap Cup Finals against DePaul.

The Falcons will fly north of the border and play at Sault on Friday night.
