STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's soccer team fell short in the final match before the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference season begins. The Falcons fell to 2-3-0 in the year, with a 0-2 loss at Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
The Pointers struck early on Saturday with a goal in the eighth minute.
The Purple and Gold scored again in the 11th minute.
UWSP went into halftime leading, 2-0, they also held an 8-4 advantage in shots. Junior Autumn Snow (Cedarburg, Wis.) had the lone shot on frame in the first half.
The Falcons struck early in the second half and in the 48th minute, senior Bella Rapp (Grafton, Wis.) had the lone shot on goal of the half.
Senior Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) finished the match with 10 saves.
The Pointers held a 17-14 advantage in shots on Saturday.
Senior Sabrina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.) and Bella Rapp both had three shots.
The Falcons open NACC play on Wednesday against Benedictine.
