Women's Tennis Double Dips in the Win Column

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team took care of business against Lakeland and Alverno on Saturday with a pair of 6-1 victories. The pair of wins sends CUW to 3-2 on the year and 3-1 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

The Falcons took the doubles point from Lakeland on Saturday morning.

The freshman duo of Jeanie Eisen (West Bend, Wis.) and Ruth Dolde (Fort Wayne, Ind.) won by forfeit.

Senior Peyton Morgan (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and sophomore Morgan Chyla (Salem Lakes, Wis.) picked up a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles and sophomore Peyton Steward (Appleton, Wis.) and junior Abby Schwartz (Brookfield, Wis.) secured a 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles.

In singles, Ruth Dolde and Jeanie Eisen both won by default.

Peyton Morgan pounced on Olivia Heling at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-3.

Morgan Chyla chopped down Alexis Labonte at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-2.

Peyton Steward sank Emily Pautz at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-2.

The Blue and White quickly extinguished the Inferno on Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons earned free points with Payton Steward and freshman Katelyn de Guzman (Belvidere, Ill.) at No. 3 doubles and Katelyn de Guzman at No. 6 singles. The victories were the first collegiate victories for de Guzman.

Jeanie Eisen and Ruth Dolde dropped Alverno at No. 2 doubles, 6-0.

Morgan Chyla and Peyton Morgan cruised 6-0 at No. 1 doubles.

At No. 1 singles, Peyton Morgan moved past Morgan Golabowski, 6-0, 6-0.

Peyton Steward silenced Ivonna Gentry at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Ruth Dolde dunked on Lilly Cronado, 6-0, 6-0

Jeanie Eisen overwhelmed Ashley Ibarra at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

The Falcons will compete at the ITA North Regional Tournament on Friday.
