ACHA Silences Marquette in Sweep

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA Hockey team closed the home and conference portion on the schedule on Saturday night against Marquette. The Falcons silenced the Golden Eagles with a 5-2 victory. The Falcons improve to 20-7 on the year and 8-2-0 in the NCHL Black Division.

Nolan O'Malley started the scoring in the first period when he redirected a shot from Chuck Emme and a secondary assist to Dominic Murano.

Chuck Emme struck on the power play and buried the biscuit after circling the zone.

The Golden Eagles got on the scoreboard on the power play in the second period.

Chuck Emme scored on a 4-on-4 play off an assist from Dominic Murano.

Austin Bartell then made an amazing save on the 4-on-4  to keep the Golden Eagles silenced.

The power play scored again with Tommy Cassel when he deflected in a shot from Rex Staudacher and a secondary assist to Dominic Murano.

Tommy Cassel was lurking at the backdoor off a pass from Andrew Malek and a secondary assist to Rex Staudacher.

Marquette ended the scoring on the power play.

Austin Bartell finished with 21 saves in the victory.

The Falcons outscored Marquette 12-3 on the weekend.

CUW takes on Trine on Friday in Ohio.
