MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA Hockey team finished the series against Purdue Northwest on Saturday night. The Pride leveled the weekend series with a 4-2 victory to send the Falcons to 5-4 on the year and 3-1 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey League Black Division.
CUW scored first on Saturday in the first period. Freshman Jackson Lord (Mequon, Wis.) deflected in a power-play goal in front of the net off assists from senior Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) and senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.).
Sophomore Dominic Murano (Milwaukee, Wis.) struck in the first minute of the second period as he dangled around the defense after Andrew Malek and sophomore Nolan O'Malley (Chicago, Ill.) added the assists.
The Pride tied the game in the second period and scored thrice in the third period to take the victory.
Purdue Northwest held a 43-21 advantage in shots.
Senior Austin Bartell (New Berlin, Wis.) had 39 saves.
The Falcons will host Trine, Indiana and Michigan State next weekend at the Concordia Wisconsin Showcase.
