ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's volleyball swept Rockford in Illinois on Thursday night. With less than a month left of the regular season, the Falcons are 8-11 on the year but 5-2 in conference play.

Sophomore
McKenna Oetzman (Reedsburg, Wis.) was unstoppable on the court. Oetzman fathered a team high of four aces, including the first point in the match. The sophomore setter went on to get 29 assists for the second match in a row.

With the help of Oetzman, the squad kept the offense rolling. CUW got off 40 kills during the match, from 10 different Falcons. This included a 9-1 run in the second set, where five different players got kills. The Royal Blue and Grey had a total of 10 aces on the day, a team high in NACC play.

Leading the team in kills was senior
Abby Proefrock (Grafton, Wis.). The defensive specialist played all around the court day, earning a double-double. Proefrock tabbed 11 kills and 11 digs, while hitting .194. Fellow seniors
Ashley Habermehl (Brookfield, Wis.) and
Paige Stickney (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) got seven kills each, hitting .313 and .500, respectively.

The Falcons' defense held strong against the Regents, holding the home team to only 16 kills and one ace. Habermehl led the team in digs with 19, and senior libero
Brianna Lundt (Rosendale, Wis.) had 17.

The Falcons will return to Illinois on Tuesday, Oct. 21 play Elmhurst in a non-conference match. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m. at R.A. Faganel Hall in Elmhurst, Ill.
