MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia Wisconsin women's soccer team suffered a tough defeat against Illinois Tech on a windy Wednesday afternoon. With two matches remaining, the Falcons are fighting for a placement in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament. The squad sat in fifth going into the day.
It was a tough battle for the Blue and White, with Illinois Tech leading the conference and having been ranked in the regional rankings in the past weeks. The Scarlet Hawks finished with a 5-0 victory.

The Scarlet Hawks had control in their offensive zone for much of the contest. Leading the defense was junior goalkeeper Kara Claussner (St. Charles, Mo.), who collected 12 saves on the day.

The Blue and White had four shots on the day, including two from freshman Koffy'e Chappel (Oakland, Calif.).

The Falcons will travel north to play Lakeland on Saturday. The match is slated to begin at 1 p.m. at Taylor Field.
