PLYMOUTH, Wis. - The Concordia Wisconsin women's soccer team defeated Lakeland, 2-1. With one game remaining in the regular season, the Falcons are 8-7-3 and 7-4 in NACC play. With the help of today's win, the Falcons clinch the fifth seed in the conference tournament.

Freshman
Koffy'e Chappel (Oakland, Calif.) was key in the team's win over the Muskies, scoring both goals. Chappel's first goal came only 3 minutes into the match. This goal was assisted by seniors
Shay Lange (Racine, Wis.) and
Brei Rozmiarek (West De Pere, Wis.).

Lakeland found the back of the net with less than 10 minutes left in the first half to even the score at one. The Falcons regained their lead with Chappel's second goal of the day. Nearly eight minutes into the second half, Lange and senior
Autumn Snow (Cedarburg, Wis.) set up the ball for the freshman to score.

The Falcons had an outstanding day on the pitch with 20 shots, 15 of which were on goal. Junior
Lanie Czerkies (Joliet, Ill.) led the team with five, all of which were on goal. Chappel finished with four, and Lang tallied three.

In goal for the Royal Blue and Grey was junior
Kara Claussner (St. Charles, Ill.). While facing six shots, Claussner collected three saves.

The Falcons' final game of the regular season will be at home against Marian. The match is slated for 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Fitting Field.
