MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia Wisconsin men's ACHA D2 hockey team overpowered St. Norbert in a high-scoring matchup. The Falcons are now over .500 at 7-6 and are 3-1 in conference play.

This was the 14th time in program history that the Royal Blue and Grey have scored over 10 goals. The last time the team scored 12 was at UW-Milwaukee on Jan. 10, 2025. For the second time this season, the Falcons have scored six goals in the first period. The team did this at DePaul on Sept. 27.

Andrew Malek started the goal party in the first period, scoring at 5:30 into the period. Malek was assisted by junior
Owen Almburg (Glenville, Ill.) and senior
McCarthy Clark (Chicago, Ill.). Sophomore
Dominic Murano (Milwaukee, Wis.), junior
Chuck Emme (Glenview, Ill.), graduate student
Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.), and sophomore
Tyler Reinke (Franklin, Wis.) all scored in the first. Wilderman and Reinke scored unassisted less than 30 seconds apart, at the 15:40 and 16:06, respectively. Wilderman also went on the score his second goal of the game later in the period.

Murano scored two goals in the second period, one being on a Falcon Power play. He also scored the final goal of the contest in the third, ending with four goals on the day. Sophomore
Michael Anderson (Mequon, Wis.) scored two goals in the final 40 minutes, and freshman
Caden Buenz (Elmhurst, Ill.) Â tabbed one.

Seven Falcons earned assists on the day. Wilderman led the team with three. Sophomores
Robby White (Cedarburg, Wis.) and
Rocco Cicirello (Mequon, Wis.) Â nabbed two each. Clark, Buenz, and Anderson finished with one.

On defense, junior
Ryley Gross (Hazenmore, Sask.) made his second appearance this season as the CUW netminder. In 29 shots faced, Gross collected 26 saves and only allowed three goals. In shots, the Falcons finished with 60, 10 of which belonged to Murano.

The Falcons continue to hold the edge over the Green Knights. The all-time series is in favor of the Falcons at 6-1.

Concordia Wisconsin will travel north tomorrow to play at St. Norbert. Puck drop is slated for 1:30 p.m. at the Cornerstone Community Center in De Pere, Wis.
