MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia Wisconsin fell to Lakeland in a close five-set battle on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons have five games remaining in the regular season, four of which are NACC opponents. The squad sits in seventh place in the conference standings after today's matches.

It was also Parents' Day at the R. John Buuck Field House. Prior to the start of the game, the Falcons honored their loved ones who have supported them throughout their careers.

The first two sets swayed in favor of the Muskie, but the Falcons did not want to go quietly. The Royal Blue and Grey forced the match to go to five sets. With the first four frames ending in a close margin, Lakeland overpowered the Falcons to win the contest.

Senior
Paige Stickney (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) led the team in kills with 17 and aces with two. Fellow senior
Abby Proefrock (Grafton, Wis.) had 16 kills on the day, a career high. Senior
Noelle Smith (Davenport, Iowa) also had a career day on the court. Smith finished with 14 kills.

Assisting in the kills was sophomore setter
Emily Dickmann. Dickman was another Falcon who set a new career high; she tallied 46 assists.               Â

On defense, senior libero
Brianna Lundt (Rosendale, Wis.) led the team in digs with 27, a career high. Proefrock also reached double-digit digs with 11.

Concordia Wisconsin will return to the Field House on Thursday, Oct. 30 to play Dominican at 7 p.m. During this match, the team will also have a youth and costume night.
