FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's soccer team's 2025 campaign came to end with a tie against Marian. The Falcons were just short of making to the conference tournament, finishing 4-10-4 overall and 3-7-2 in NACC play.
The Falcons led the game in shots with 12, six of which where on goal. Seven of the team shots came in the first half but the Royal Blue and Grey came out of the half with determination. With 10 minutes to go, sophomore
Mateo Nabben (Belle River, Canada) attempted to send a cross into the box for a goal. The Saber goalie stole the opportunity by snagging the ball before reaching a Falcon.
Inside the final minute of the contest, CUW was awarded a free kick from a Marian foul. With the ball roughly 15 yards out, freshman
Samuel Ortiz (Milwaukee, Wis.) took the kick. Sophomore
Elias Ramon (Huntley, Ill.) ran inside the box to try the ball in but was sent wide.
At the end of the contest, Nabben led the team in shots with three. Freshman
Matthew Payne (Franklin, Ind.) was not far behind his teammate with two shots.
In goal for the Falcons was senior
Enrique Torres. Torres collected three saves in 11 shots faced.
