SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's ACHA hockey team opened a busy weekend with the first of three games in three days. The Falcons fell to Lake Superior State 4-1 to move to 3-2-0 on the year.
The lone Concordia goal of the evening came off the stick of senior Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) in the first period off an assist from senior Nolan Judge (Glendale, Ariz.).
The Lakers scored a goal in all three periods, with two in the third.
Senior Austin Bartell (New Berlin, Wis.) finished with 24 saves.
The Falcons had 13 penalties on the night and the Lakers capitalized on the power play on three different occasions.
The Falcons take on the Lakers for round two of the weekend on Saturday afternoon.
