SAULT STE. MARIE Mich. – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA Hockey team leveled the weekend series at Lake Superior with a 6-2 victory on Saturday afternoon. The win sends the Falcons to 4-2-0 on the year.
Junior Chuck Emme (Glenview, Ill.) started the scoring in the first period with a goal from assists from senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) and freshman Jackson Lord (Mequon, Wis.).
Sophomore Rocco Cicirello (Mequon, Wis.) joined the scoring off assists to sophomore Michael Anderson (Mequon, Wis.) and senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.).
Senior Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) closed the first-period scoring off assists to Garrett Wilderman and junior Owen Almburg (Glenview, Ill.).
Tommy Cassel struck again in the second period off a sophomore Nolan O'Malley (Chicago, Ill.) assist.
Chuck Emme added his second goal of the game in the third from Wilderman and Lord once again.
Andrew Malek closed the Concordia scoring off an assist from Rocco Cicirello.
Junior Austin Bartell (New Berlin, Wis.) finished with 23 saves in the victory.
The Falcons close the road trip on Sunday at Sault.
