Eagles Best Falcons on Senior Day

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Falcons fell, 0-3, to Edgewood on Saturday afternoon. This was a tough battle for the Falcons with this being the fourth match they played since last Saturday.

Despite the loss, the Royal Blue and Grey had a reason to celebrate. Prior to the start of the game, the team celebrated their four seniors. Brei Rozmiarek, Sara Gille, Shay Lange, and Autumn Snow were honored for the dedication to the CUW women's soccer team.

This was a tough loss for the Falcons. Prior to today's game Concordia was on a 1- game winning streak over Edgewood, that began in 2017. Also, this was the most goals scored by the Eagles in Mequon since the 2007 season.

The Falcons' defense was able to hold their opponents to one goal for the first 62 minutes of the match. The Eagles offense push back in those final 28 minutes tiring out the home team and scoring two more goals to secure the match.

Freshman Koffy'e Chappel (Oakland, Calif.) was able to get three shots off, one being on goal. Senior Brei Rozmiarek (West De Pere, Wis.) totaled two shots with one on goal.

On defense, junior Kara Claussner (St. Charles, Ill.) faced 13 shots from the visitors. Claussner was able to make five saves on the day.

The Falcons look to break their four-game losing streak against Concordia Chicago at home on Wednesday. The Match is slated for 4 p.m. at Fitting Field.
