SAULT STE. MARIE, Ontario – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA Division II men's hockey team competed in Canada on Sunday afternoon at Sault College. The Falcons fell in their third and final game of the weekend, 5-3, to move to 4-3-0.
Senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.) opened the scoring for the Falcons on the power play in the first period off assists from junior Chuck Emme (Glenview, Ill.) and senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.).
The Cougars led 2-1 after the first period.
Chuck Emme scored on the power play in the second period off helpers from senior Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) and Garrett Wilderman.
Tommy Cassel tied the game at three in the third period with a power-play goal with Andrew Malek adding the assist.
Sault scored the final two goals of the game to earn the victory.
Senior Austin Bartell (New Berlin, Wis.) collected 14 saves on Sunday.
The Falcons return to conference action on Friday night at Purdue Northwest.
