Falcons Bounce Bulldogs for Program-Best Start

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin acrobatics & tumbling team is 5-0 for the first time in program history. The Falcons bounced the Bulldogs back to Adrian with a 213.890 to 130.325 victory. Adrian falls to 1-3 with the loss.

The Falcons took an early lead with 30.950 points in the compulsory event. CUW scored a 9.00 in the pyramid heat and a 9.05 in the toss heat. Concordia finished with a season-high score in the tumbling heat at 5.45.

Adrian dropped back even further in the acro event after CUW landed 24.15 points. The five-element heat finished with a season-best 8.60 points.

The pyramid event elevated the Concordia lead even higher with 27.25 points. The inversion pyramid posted a season-high 9.10 points.

The Birds soared to 24.10 points in the toss event with eight or more points in the 450 salto and the synchronized toss.

CUW cruised to 30.100 points in the tumbling event. The trio pass with senior Lexie Pfeifle (Macomb, Mich.), sophomore Cadia Sanders (Joppa, Md.) and senior Madisen Arendt (Waukesha, Wis.) scored a season-high 6.45 points and Cadia Sanders snagged a season-best 7.75 points in the open pass.

Concordia closed the meet with 68.34 points in the team event.

CUW posted a higher score in 18 of the 20 heats and in all six events.

This is the third time in program history that the Falcons have secured five victories in a single season.

The Falcons hit the road and will take on Trine on Sunday.
