NEENAH, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's tennis team traveled north on Sunday to face Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Olivet Nazarene. The Falcons opened action with a 4-3 victory over Wisconsin-Stevens Point but fell to Olivet Nazarene, 1-6, moving to 6-7 on the season.
The Falcons started the day sweeping doubles play against the Pointers.
Freshman Ryan Bilan (Greendale, Wis.) and junior Dylan Nadolski (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) picked up a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles.
At No. 2 doubles, sophomore Renan Revite (São Bernardo do campo, Brazil) and freshman Hayden Latus (Waukesha, Wis.) locked up a 6-3 victory.
Senior Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and senior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) claimed a 7-6 (4) victory at No. 1 doubles to complete the sweep.
Hayden Latus downed Dawson Froemming at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-2.
At No. 6 singles, Dylan Nadolski knocked out Anothony Janes, 6-2, 7-6 (6).
Ryan Bilan brought in the clinching point at No. 4 singles with a 7-6 (2), 7-6 (7) victory over Frederick Diehl.
The Falcons closed the day against Olivet Nazarene of NAIA.
The lone point of the second match came from Dylan Nadolski at No. 6 singles.
He sank Adam Hartford with a 7-6, 6-2 victory.
The Falcons return to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play on Saturday against St. Norbert.
