LAKE FOREST, Ill. – On Saturday, the Concordia Wisconsin women's lacrosse team fell short in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) contest. Lake Forest picked up a 23-3 victory to send the Falcons to 4-8 and 3-3 in the NACC.
Junior Katelyn Cardinale (Mount Laurel, N.J.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard in the first minute of the second quarter on a free-position shot.
Senior Kami McCardle (Jackson, Wis.) scored off a rebound from a free-position shot from sophomore Carolyn Bourgeault (Buffalo, N.Y.).
Katelyn Cardinale scored in transition as she raced down the field in the third quarter off a long pass from sophomore Parks Cawthray (Oakville, Ontario).
The Forster shelf a 43-7 advantage in shots on Saturday.
Parks Cawthray collected seven saves and junior Kaitlyn Hansen (Chisago, Minn.) had a save.
Senior Natalie Mackrell (Florissant, Colo.) and Katelyn Cardinale both won four draw controls.
Kami McCardle and Natalie Mackrell both had two ground balls and Mackrell also caused two turnovers.
The Falcons look to bounce back on Wednesday against Marian in the home finale.
