RACINE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team closed the regular season on Tuesday afternoon. The match was supposed to be played at Concordia Wisconsin but was moved to Racine due to weather.
The Firebirds took the match with a 6-1 victory.
The loss sends Concordia to 5-15 on the year.
Junior Abby Schwartz (Brookfield, Wis.) had the most competitive match in singles play at No. 5 singles. She fell, 6-2, 6-4.
Freshman Ruth Dolde (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and freshman Katelyn de Guzman (Belvidere, Ill.) picked up a 6-4 victory at No. 3 doubles.
At No. 1 doubles, Abby Schwartz and senior Peyton Morgan (Arlington Heights, Ill.) downed the Firebirds, 6-4.
The Falcons will travel to Illinois Tech on April 29.
