MUNDELEIN, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team opened the two-day Lake Forest Forester Spring Invite on Friday. The Falcons opened the tournament tied for 11th place at 304 strokes with Elmhurst. The host Foresters lead the pack by a stroke at 281 strokes. The 304 strokes are the best round of the year for the Falcons.
Senior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) led the flock in 48th place at a career-best 75 strokes.
Freshman Dylan Smith (Amherst, Wis.) and senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) are tied for 54th place at 76 strokes. The 76 strokes are career-best scores for both.
In 68th place is freshman Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) at 77 strokes.
Junior Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) recorded a round of 80 strokes in 86th place.
The Falcons close the tournament on Saturday.
