MUNDELEIN, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team finished the two-day Lake Forest Forster Spring Invite on Saturday. The Falcons tied their season-low score at 304 strokes for the second straight day. The Falcons finished in 14th place as a team with 608 strokes. The Spartans of Aurora rallied on day two to take the team title at 561 strokes.
Senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) recorded his best round of his career at 75 strokes and finished in 52nd place at 151 strokes.
Freshman Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) and senior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) finished tied for 68th place at 153 strokes. Baldus stropped a stroke from Friday at 76 strokes to finish at 153 strokes. Yaun checked into the clubhouse with 78 strokes.
Junior Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) also recorded his best round of his career at 75 strokes to finish in 75th place at 155 strokes.
Freshman Dylan Smith (Amherst, Wis.) secured a round of 83 strokes to finish in 87th place at 159 strokes.
The Falcons will compete at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship on April 27 and 28. The Blue and White are in 10th place with 701 strokes.
