Falcons Jump a Spot at NACC Championships

AURORA, Ill. – A strong Sunday for the Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team allowed the Falcons to jump a place after the third round of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships. The Falcons were in 10th place heading into the day after the 36 holes in the Fall season at 701 strokes.

The Falcons finished in eighth place on Sunday at 330 strokes. The Blue and White beat Edgewood and Dominican on the day and jumped over Dominican, and is now in ninth place with 1031 strokes.

Freshman Dylan Smith (Amherst, Wis.) led the Falcons on the day in 24th place at 81 strokes. He led the flock with four birdies on the afternoon. Smith is in 38th place at 260 strokes.

Junior Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) recorded a round of 82 strokes on Sunday in 26th place and landed two birdies. He leads the Falcons in 32nd place at 255 strokes.

Senior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) brought in a round of 83 strokes in 31st place on the day and had a birdie on hole 14.

Senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) also had a birdie at hole No. 9 on Sunday and is tied with Ray Baldus, who had birdies at No. 3 and No. 7 in 36th place at 84 strokes. Baldus is in 34th place at 257 strokes.

In 41st place on Sunday was senior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) at 85 strokes. Yaun birdied No. 14 on the day. Yaun is in 40th place after three rounds with 262 strokes.

The Spartans of Aurora lead heading into the final round at 885 strokes. St. Norbert trails by 16 strokes.

The Falcons close the year on Monday at the NACC Championships.
