LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's track & field team saw a school record broken by two student-athletes on Friday at the Wisconsin-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge.
Amanda Kuca broke the school record in the 10000-meter run on April 1, 2006, at the Washington University Invite with a time of 36:44.12.
Junior Ainara Sainz de Rozas (Madrid, Spain) shattered the record with a winning time of 35:19.99. Her time ranks 10th in the nation.
Sophomore Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) would have also broken the record with a time of 36:43.73 in fourth place. Her time currently ranks 32nd in the nation.
The two times put Concordia Wisconsin in 10th place as a team with 15 points.
The Falcons will race again on Friday at the St. Norbert Invite.
