Falcons Shut Out Warriors to Remain Undefeated in NAAC

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's soccer team remains undefeated in conference play after defeating Wisconsin Lutheran, 2-0. The Falcons improve to 3-1-3 on the season.

A majority of the contest was a defensive battle between the two squads. With the game being scoreless until the 72nd minute. A key pass from sophomore Jacey Read  (Carbondale, Colo.) allowed senior Brei Rozmiarek (West De Pere, Wis.) to send the ball into the net. This is Rozmiarek's third goal of the year and eighth of her career as a Falcon.

Four minute later freshman Koffy'e Chappel (Oakland, Calif.) maneuvered her way through the Warriors defense at midfield for a breakaway goal. Fresh off her NACC Player of the Week honor, Chappel earns her fourth career goal.

The Falcons ended the game with 17 shots, nine of which were on goal. Read along with freshman Gabbie Hetzel (Germantown, Wis.) and junior Lanie Czerkies (Joliet, Ill.) finished the game three shots each. The CUW defense did not allow a single corner kick to WLC.
