CHICAGO – The Falcons brought out the brooms in the first Northern Collegiate Hockey League series of the season on Saturday. The Falcons picked up an 8-2 victory at DePaul to improve to 3-1 on the year and 2-0 in the NCHL Black Division.
The Falcons blitzed the Blue Demons with six first-period goals on Saturday.
Senior McCarthy Clark (Chicago, Ill.) and senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) both had two goals in the opening period with sophomore Rocco Cicirello (Mequon, Wis.) and senior Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) scoring the others.
Concordia held a 6-1 lead after 20 minutes.
Junior Chuck Emme (Milwaukee, Wis.) struck in the first minute of the second period from assists from Garrett Wilderman and sophomore Michael Anderson (Mequon, Wis.).
Sophomore Dominic Murano (Milwaukee, Wis.) lit the lamp in the third period off a McCarthy Clark assist.
The Falcons travel north to the great state of Michigan and will play Lake Superior State on Friday.
