GENEVA, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's hockey team closed out the weekend against No. 2 Aurora on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans secured the weekend sweep with a 9-3 victory to improve to 17-2-0 on the year.

The Spartans scored the first three goals of the contest on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Riley Klugerman (Aurora, Ontario) puck the Falcons on the Falcons with a deep shot off passes from sophomore Jack Guvenal (Georgetown, Ontario) and sophomore Levi Carter (Keremeos, British Columbia).

The Black and Blue struck again 67 second into the second period.

Levi Carter cut into the deficit in the second period when he deflected in a senior Derek Humphreys (Spokane, Wash.) shot from the far post. Jack Guvenal added the secondary assist.

Aurora added the two final goals of the period to take a 6-2 lead into the third period.

Senior Nick Maksymiu (Chicago, Ill.) opened the third-period scoring when he crashed the net.

The Spartans scored the final three goals of the game to secure the victory.

Sophomore Ewan McDevitt (Brookfield, Wis.) posted 22 saves on Saturday.

Aurora held a 31-29 advantage in shots.

The Falcons look to bounce back on Friday when they host Lawrence.
