MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) released its 2026-27 Women's Hockey Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday afternoon, with the Concordia University Wisconsin women's hockey team earning a second-place selection with 87 points.
Adrian topped the poll with 95 points and seven first-place votes, while the Falcons followed with 87 points and one first-place vote. St. Norbert rounded out the top three with 81 points and one first-place vote.
The Falcons enter the 2026-27 campaign looking to build on an impressive 2025-26 season, finishing with a 24-3-1 overall record and a dominant 16-1-1 mark in NCHA play. Concordia Wisconsin advanced to the NCHA semifinals before its season came to a close against St. Norbert on Feb. 28.
The second-place preseason selection marks a step forward for the Falcons, who were picked to finish third in last year's 2025-26 preseason coaches poll.
Concordia Wisconsin will officially kick off the 2026-27 season on Friday, Oct. 23, when the Falcons take on Wis.-Superior.
