MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's basketball team defeated Lakeland, 70–62, on Saturday afternoon. With one game remaining in the regular season, the Falcons move to 8–15 overall and 9–8 in NACC play.

During halftime of the men's game, CUW honored its senior class. Kaitlyn Carothers (Columbus, Ind.), Blayne Gacke (Crooks, S.D.), and Darya Gunderman (Minneapolis, Minn.) were recognized for their dedication and impact on the women's basketball program and Falcon Athletics.

The Falcons held a narrow four-point lead at halftime in a tightly contested first half. Lakeland edged CUW 13–12 in the third quarter, but the Royal Blue & Gray maintained control and never relinquished the lead over the final 20 minutes.

CUW created separation early in the fourth quarter with a decisive 12–0 run beginning at the 8:20 mark. The surge lasted 5:44 and saw the Falcons shoot 4-of-7 from the field. Five players scored during the stretch, led by juniors Gracie McNabb (Grafton, Wis.) and Andrea Butterbrodt (Green Bay, Wis.) with three points apiece.

Lakeland attempted a late comeback, but five fouls in the final minute resulted in six Falcon free throws that sealed the eight-point victory.

Freshman Isabela Gunderson (Waukesha, Wis.) led all scorers with 15 points and recorded four of the team's eight steals. McNabb and Butterbrodt followed with 14 points each, with Butterbrodt shooting 5-of-7 from the floor and grabbing a team-high seven rebounds. Freshman Amya Pluess (Burlington, Wis.) and sophomore Kristin Wentling (Arlington Heights, Ill.) added three assists apiece.
